CULTURES CONNECTING TO HOST WORKSHOP ON DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION IN RENTON FRIDAY APRIL 12

The ever-changing issues of education and culture, align in many institutions and segments of society, and this Friday, Cultures Connecting – a telecommunications company based in Renton, Washington will host an interactive program to address issues of multi-culturalism and anti-racism, entitled, “Equity Leaders: A Workshop for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion”.
“Equity leaders often feel isolated and can quickly become frustrated or feel overwhelmed” according to Cultures Connecting.  The aim of the workshop is to support people who feel this way and help people learn from each other’s mistakes and successes and craft an easier path forward.  The workshop, led by facilitators, Caprice Hollins and Ilsa Govan, provides opportunities to share strategies for organizational change, problem solving and networking.  

Each participant is asked to bring with them and example of a success story, strategy and tool to share.  Hollins and Govan will present models of organizational strategies and development of change over the past eight years of work with hundreds of organizations.  “We want our participants to come away with new tools for this important work as well as supportive partnerships they can lean on for many years to come”, Cultures Connecting emphasizes in promoting the event.
